Vinted Pro business accounts: available in Europe, not currently available in the US

No: as of October 23, 2026, Vinted Pro is not available in the US. Vinted's Help Center says its Vinted Pro program "is not currently available in your country" for US members, and that without it, members are not allowed to sell as a business, on behalf of another business, or with the goal of making a profit. Vinted Pro itself exists and works, but only for businesses registered in a list of European countries. Vinted has not announced a US launch date as of October 23, 2026: we found no official announcement, and we will not guess one. This guide covers what Vinted Pro is, where it works, what the rule means for a US seller today, and what you can do about it.

Vinteer is not affiliated with Vinted. Everything below comes from Vinted's own pages, read on October 23, 2026.

Is there a Vinted Pro in the US?

Not today. Three official sources point the same way:

  • The Help Center article on commercial selling (Vinted Help: Commercial selling), as shown to US members, says: "Our Vinted Pro program is not currently available in your country. Because of this, we don't allow members to sell as a business, on behalf of another business, or with the goal of making a profit."
  • The Vinted Pro service article (Vinted Pro service) opens with a note that its content applies "exclusively when the Vinted Pro service is introduced in your region. The launch date will be communicated." It then lists the countries where Pro is available, and the US is not among them.
  • Vinted's Trust & Safety Q&A of September 24, 2026 (Keeping second-hand at the heart of Vinted) repeats it: "If Vinted Pro isn't currently available in your country, you aren't allowed to sell as a business or on behalf of one."

We also checked Vinted's newsroom. Its latest items as of this writing cover the New York launch of January 22, 2026, the Australia launch and financial results, and none announces a US version of Vinted Pro. When that changes, the places to watch are the two Help Center articles above and company.vinted.com/newsroom.

One trap: if you search "vinted pro" you may land on vinted.com/pro. When we read that page, it was a Europe page: it described buyers "across Europe" and asked for a SIRET number, which is a French business ID. It is not a US sign-up.

Where Vinted Pro is available

Vinted publishes two slightly different lists, so check the live page before you rely on either. The Vinted Pro service article says Pro is "currently available to sellers who meet the criteria and are registered in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Austria". The September 2026 Q&A names a shorter list: France, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, Spain and the UK. The help article adds that "you might notice the service being available in other countries as part of our test."

The key words are "registered in". Pro is tied to where your business is registered, not to where you happen to live or ship from. A business registered in the US is not on either list.

What Vinted Pro is

Vinted describes Pro as a service for "members who want to sell high volumes of second-hand items as part of their professional activity". From the Vinted Pro service article, the UK Pro page and the Q&A:

  • It is for registered businesses. You must be registered as a business, such as a sole trader, a non-profit organization or a company, depending on the country.
  • It is free. Vinted says Pro is "entirely free" and that selling "doesn't cost you a cent".
  • Buyers get a 14-day return window. Pro sellers must let a buyer return an item within 14 days of receiving it, on top of any policies of their own.
  • You can keep a separate account. Vinted allows a standard account and a Pro account side by side, with a different email address and phone number for the Pro one.
  • It is still second-hand only. Going Pro does not turn Vinted into a general store. The Q&A says selling mostly new items, or multiples of the same new item, is not allowed for anyone, Pro sellers included, and neither are brand-new handmade goods or services such as rental, repair or made-to-order work.

For Europe, that is the whole idea: a legal route for businesses to sell second-hand items on Vinted, with the consumer rules that businesses must follow. The Q&A explains why: businesses have obligations that private sellers do not, "tax being the obvious one and protections for buyers being another".

What this means for a US seller today

Selling your own items, even a lot of them

The rule is about intent, not volume. The Q&A is explicit: "Selling a lot doesn't make you a business. If you've had a huge clear-out and you're listing two hundred items from your own wardrobe, that's completely fine." The line Vinted draws is "whether you're passing on your own second-hand items or using Vinted to run a business", and it describes commercial selling as "buying, sourcing or making items specifically to sell them on at a profit".

So on a US standard account, selling items you own is what the platform is for: pieces from your closet, your home or a family clear-out. Our guide to how Vinted works for sellers walks through listing, pricing and payouts, and what sells best on Vinted covers what to put in front of buyers.

What a standard account does not allow

The Help Center lists what falls outside a standard account in the US:

  • Buying or sourcing items and reselling them at a profit.
  • Selling new items bought specifically to resell, including wholesale stock, bulk orders and retail purchases for profit. A brand-new item you bought for personal use, such as a gift that did not fit, is fine to list.
  • Services, renting items, listing items you do not own, and made-to-order or custom handmade goods sold as a business.
  • Listing new items as second-hand, or using photos that are not of the actual item.

What happens if you break the rules

Vinted says it reviews accounts and listings after a report or when it detects behavior that goes against the rules. The first step is a warning and restrictions until the account complies. If a seller keeps going, "we may permanently ban your account". Vinted also says it looks at signals such as behavior, listing patterns and account history, with no single signal deciding a case, and that every decision can be appealed through a manual review. If you think a decision was wrong, use the appeal link in the message you received.

Because this is about the rules of a platform you depend on, the practical advice is simple: if your plan involves buying stock to resell, do not build it on a US Vinted standard account. Plan it on a marketplace whose own rules allow it, and read those rules first. Our comparisons with Poshmark, Depop and eBay cover fees and shipping side by side.

Taxes

The Q&A links business selling to tax obligations, but what you owe on personal sales in the US is a separate question from Vinted's account rules. We cover reporting forms and thresholds in Vinted and the 1099-K. General information, not tax advice.

Could Vinted Pro come to the US?

Possibly, but Vinted has not said so. The Help Center wording ("is not currently available", "the launch date will be communicated") leaves the door open without promising anything, and Vinted has been expanding: it announced its US push on January 22, 2026 and the New York launch came with a pitch aimed at people clearing out closets, not at businesses. Treat any article, video or tool that gives you a US Vinted Pro date as unsourced, and any service that claims to get you a Pro account in the US as a red flag.

What you can do is stay informed and keep your records clean. If you sell on Vinted and elsewhere, tracking what each sale brought in, what it cost you to ship and what stock you still have makes any future change easier. When Vinteer opens in the US, it will import your Vinted and eBay sales and purchases so you can see sales, real profit and stock in one place. It is not open yet: join the waitlist and keep 20% off for life when it launches. And in the meantime, the free Vinted fee calculator shows exactly what a sale brings in.

Rules change, so recheck the source

This page reflects Vinted's Help Center as we read it on October 23, 2026. If Vinted launches Pro in the US, its Help Center will say so first. Vinteer is not affiliated with Vinted.

FAQ

Conclusion

Vinted Pro is real, free and well defined in Europe, but it is not available to US sellers today, and Vinted has given no date. On a US standard account, you sell what you own, as much of it as you like, and you leave sourcing and reselling for other marketplaces. Check the two Help Center articles linked above before you plan around any change, because they will be the first place Vinted updates.
