How Vinted fees work in the US
Figures from Vinted's own help pages and the IRS, checked on October 22, 2026.
Selling fees: $0
Vinted's help center says there are no fees for uploading your items or selling them, so you receive the full selling price in your Vinted Wallet once the sale closes. The only seller-paid charge on the price list is the optional item bump, priced by duration (3 or 7 days) and item price: add it to your supplies and other costs if you use it.
The Vinted fee: paid by the buyer
A mandatory fee added at checkout, on top of your price. It is usually 5% of the item or bundle price plus $0.70, and varies with the item, the order value and the order type. It never reduces what you receive. When you buy on Vinted, it is part of your cost of goods.
Shipping: paid by the buyer
The buyer picks a provider at checkout (USPS, FedEx or SpeedX) and buys a prepaid label for you. Rates depend on the package size and on the buyer's and seller's locations. You must use that label, and you have 5 business days to ship.
Taxes: set some aside
Vinted does not take any seller fee, but your profit can still be taxable. The IRS says you usually owe self-employment tax when your net earnings from self-employment reach $400: 15.3% on 92.35% of net earnings, about 14.1% of profit. Federal income tax and state taxes come on top. General information, not tax advice.
