Vinted fee & profit calculator. What do you actually keep?

Selling on Vinted costs nothing in seller fees: the buyer pays the Vinted fee on top of your price. Fill in the sentence below to see your profit after what you paid, your postage and packaging, and the tax you choose to set aside.

I sell an item forthat cost me, plus a Vinted fee ofwhen I bought it. I payin postage and spendon packaging, and I set asideof my profit for tax.

Vinted fee: type the amount shown in the order summary when you bought the item, or 0 if you bought it elsewhere. Vinted does not publish a formula. It says the fee is usually 3% to 8% + £0.3 to £0.8 and varies with the item, the order value and whether it is a single item or a bundle, VAT included. The calculator never works it out for you.

Postage: Vinted's help centre says buyers pay for shipping and you receive a pre-paid label, so this is normally £0. Enter an amount only if you cover postage yourself.

Selling with a Vinted Pro account: Vinted's help centre says a Pro seller's order is completed automatically after 14 days unless the buyer raises an issue, and cannot be completed earlier. Plan your cash flow around that delay.

Set aside for tax starts at 0% because many sellers owe nothing on a small amount of trading: the trading allowance covers your first £1,000 of trading income in a tax year, and the Personal Allowance means the first £12,570 of your total income is not taxed. Above that, income tax starts at 20% in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, plus Class 4 National Insurance at 6% on profits over £12,570. Change the percentage to match your own situation. General information, not tax advice.

How Vinted fees work in the UK

Figures from Vinted's own help pages and the price list dated 08.10.2026, and from GOV.UK, checked on 7 Nov 2026.

  1. Selling fees: none

Vinted's help centre says there are no fees for uploading your items or selling them, so you receive the full selling price in your Vinted Balance once the order is completed. Optional extras such as Bumps and Showcase are priced at checkout: add them to your costs if you use them.

  2. The Vinted fee: paid by the buyer

A mandatory fee added at checkout, on top of your price, VAT included. Vinted says it usually includes a percentage of the item or bundle price and a fixed amount, usually 3% to 8% + £0.3 to £0.8. The exact amount depends on the item, the order value and the order type, so the calculator asks you for the figure on your own order summary. When you buy on Vinted, that fee is part of your cost.

  3. Postage: paid by the buyer

Vinted's help centre says buyers pay for shipping and choose the provider at checkout, and you receive a pre-paid label. Shipping cost depends on parcel size and on where the parcel is sent from and delivered to. You must use that label and send the order within 5 business days. The calculator's postage field is for the rare case where you cover postage yourself.

  4. Vinted Pro: a 14-day wait

Vinted says that if you sell to make a profit, you need to sign up as a Pro seller. Vinted's help centre says a Pro seller's order is completed automatically after 14 days unless the buyer raises an issue, and cannot be completed earlier. Plan your cash flow around that delay. Consumers also have a legal 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase from a Pro seller.

  5. Tax: set some aside

Vinted does not take any seller fee, but trading profit can still be taxable. The trading allowance exempts up to £1,000 a year of trading income, and the Personal Allowance of £12,570 applies to your total income. Above those, income tax and Class 4 National Insurance apply to profit. General information, not tax advice.
